The Man who told Animals stories 2 pages 9-11

Thinking that it was another dog with a piece of meat, he made up mind to have that piece too. So he snapped at the meat  he saw in the water. As he opened his mouth he dropped the real meat and it was carried away by the stream. By being so greedy and trying to get more the dog got nothing at all. Another story was about a fox. Strolling through the woods one day the fox saw a juicy bunch of grapes hanging from a high vine. Just the thing for a thirsty fox he said to himself. He jumped as high as he missed. He tried again and again. Each time he just missed the tasty looking fruit. Finally the fox quit trying. Oh well he thought those grapes are probably sour anyway. And he went away without the grapes. When the fox couldn't have what he wanted he really didn't want it at all. More than a hundred of the stories Aesop told have been written down. You can read them all in a  book that you can get in almost any bookstore or library.
