All life on the Earth needs liquid
water. Most living things are made
up of at least 50 percent water.
Humans are about 60 percent water.
In addition, the precious liquid contains all the chemicals that make
life possible such as hydrogen and oxygen. So if life were to exist somewhere other than Earth it
would need liquid water. Space scientists think they may have found such a place. Europa is a moon of Jupiter covered in thick ice. Scientists think a vast ocean with more than on the Earth might be under that ice. Scientists are planning to send a space probe to look at that ocean and see
see if anything lives down there.
