The corpse flower's odor has been compared to the smell of a stinky diaper decaying fish and a garbage dump. This rare plant is enormous it can grow to be 10 feet 3 m tall and blooms only once every 8 to 10 years. In addition, its deep red color nose-clenching odor and warm temperature are meant to make flesh eating insect-like dung beetles and flesh flies think it's rotting piece meat. Why So they'll fly into the flower get dusted with pollen to another corpse flower and keep the species growing.
