A Mohair scarf is a welcome luxury in
cold weather- better still its, fluffiness conceals the uneven fabric that some beginners may produce. In addition, the design uses two reversible stitches shown in this chapter. If you wish, the scarf can beworked entirely in garter stitch, single rib or basket stitch. It measures about 18cm x 142cm x 7in x 56in.
You will need:
5 x 25g balls of Jaeger Mohair Spun, plain, or with glitter One pair 5 1/2 mm / No 5 needles.
Scarf:
Cast on 30 stitches by the one needle method.
Work 10 rows garter stitch.
Work 16 rows basket stitch. 26 rows in all.
Repeat these 26 rows basket stitch 11 times more.
