The Compound Microscope

When most people the word microscope they usually think of the kind that is seen in laboratories. This microscope as seen from outside has a heavy metal foot a platform on which to place what is being examined a nosepiece that points at the platform and a long tube at the top of which the microscopist places his eye. In addition, this kind of microscope which is called a biological microscope or a laboratory microscope. It is also a compound microscope. In a compound microscope, there are many lenses. These lenses are grouped into two systems. One system does it shows and upright image just as the eye would see it only larger. The focus of this set of lenses is at a point where the second system can greatly magnify the image and locate it just at the Platform of the microscope.
