The Microscope
A microscope is an instrument for looking at small things. In addition, the word microscope comes from two ancient Greek words milkros which mean to look at. All microscopes have one thing in common. They contain one or more parts which is called lenses. A lens is any clear substances that has a definite shape and will bend light rays as they pass through it. Most lenses made of glass however a lens could be made of water of oil of clear plastic.
