Take apart any object from a skyscraper to a 

pinhead and you eventually find that is made of 

these tiny particles which are called atoms, that are too small for us to see. All objects items materials substances chemicals and other forms of matter consist of atom.

Big things are made of smaller things. For an example a log cabin is made of  dozens of logs. A log is made of even tinier fiber of wood of even tinier fibers of a substance which is called lignin. And lignin is made from group of very tiny things indeed atoms.
