She was one of those people

who could attend not only to

her own business but everyone

else's as well. One afternoon in early

June Mrs. Lynde was sitting in her usual 

spot knitting a quilt in the warm sunshine

that poured through the window. Suddenly 
she received a great surprise. There was her neighbor Matthew Cuthber driving his horse

and buggy out of town and wearing his 

best suit of clothes.
